To play HDR video in Windows 11, your display, PC, and graphics card must meet certain requirements. sure yt will encode pretty much everything but if you want high quality its best to stick to these "recommendations" as close as possible. Same goes for containers, audio, codecs, etc. I know it does, but unless something recently changed uploading unedited hi bitrate videos will have worse results than if you upload what yt expects / recommends, because their own encoding will be more aggressive if the bitrate is "too high" Uploading lossless is quite a waste and does not really make that much difference vs high bitrate HEVC. Also the person seems to play on a controller and does not move the camera nearly as much which allows for better quality as there are more static elements on the screen because of it.ġ080p will just always looks pixelated with the max bitrates allowed for 1080p on YT unless you're uploading something with a lot of static content or low detail. The video you're comparing to also falls apart and gets very pixelated in some action sequences where there are many particles and effects. It's the same as trying to stream PUBG and having good video stream quality when inside buildings but the moment you step outside and there is foliage you just get pixelated mess. There is much more detail in your videos andthe bitrate just can't keep up with it. The video you are comparing to is in close quarters with not much stuff going on in the environment vs yours. This way you're evenly quadrupling the resolution without approximation. TBH I don't have any experience with upscaling video so I don't know how the filters behave but I'll assume it's the same as downscaling in which case you should try to upscale to 4k 3840x2160 and use Bicubic filter. IMO you're getting screwed with the Lanczos filter. You can see that Smvr's 1080p quality is a lot more clearer than mine, even though I record at "Lossless" quality. Also I am comparing 1080p Quality with other DOOM videos such as this one. I have the output resolution at 2K because I want youtube to give me their VP9 codec. I am trying to record DOOM Eternal but my videos looks a lot more pixelated than others.
